Separate platform limits from product limits
A Meta messaging window, an account permission, and a DripDM plan cap are different checks. An upgrade can remove a DripDM cap without fixing an expired window or revoked permission. Use the rules and troubleshooting guides to identify which check blocks your workflow before changing the campaign.
Use current sources for decisions that change
Provider rules, permissions, and vendor prices change. These guides explain how to evaluate the situation and link related workflows. Confirm the current provider documentation or checkout before making a time-sensitive decision. Never repeatedly retry a send solely because a guide describes the normal path.
Rules and errors
Instagram DM limits
Two limits matter first. Meta’s messaging window, and the plan cap inside DripDM.
Instagram 24-hour messaging window
Meta documents a window for business replies after a person contacts you. DripDM does not send a scheduled message after that window closes.
Instagram automation rules
DripDM uses Meta’s official API. It does not log in with your password and it does not run a browser bot.
Can I DM someone who did not message me?
DripDM cannot open a new Instagram thread with a person who never messaged you, commented, or replied to a story.
Why an Instagram automation stopped
Start with four checks. The account connection, the keyword, the messaging window, and the monthly DM cap.
Instagram restricted my account
If Instagram limits messaging, DripDM cannot lift that limit. The sends stop because the API refuses them.
Instagram error 2534022
Meta’s Messenger error list maps code 10 with subcode 2534022 to “This message is sent outside of allowed window.”
Instagram error 2534037
Meta documents code 100 with subcode 2534037 as “The action is invalid since it’s not the thread owner.”
Instagram error 1545133
Code 2 is broad. Preserve subcode 1545133 and the failed message format before deciding whether a failure is temporary or recipient-specific.
Instagram engagement rate
A common formula is (likes + comments) ÷ posts ÷ followers. Use it as a planning number. Count link taps in DripDM when the goal is the DM.
Instagram earned media value
There is no Instagram invoice for earned media. Pick a dollar value per engagement, multiply, and label the result as an estimate.
Are AI auto-replies allowed on Instagram?
An AI reply is still an API send. It needs an eligible comment private-reply path or an applicable open conversation window. Account permissions and credit limits also apply.
Facebook automation rules
Connect a Facebook Page on Pro or above. Comment keywords, Messenger keywords, ice breakers, and lead capture use the same workspace as Instagram.
Meta Business Suite comment-to-message limits
Meta Business Suite can offer a built-in comment reply with its own limits. DripDM does not use that screen. It uses the official API on the connected Page or Instagram account.
Facebook Messenger 24-hour rule
A Facebook Page connected to DripDM follows the same idea as Instagram. Reply after the person contacts the Page. Do not treat a scheduled send as a way around a closed thread.
Facebook comment to message is not working
Confirm the Page is connected, the plan is Pro or above, and the comment contains the keyword.
Facebook Messenger ice breakers
An ice breaker is a question shown when someone opens a chat with your Page. DripDM stores the question and the payload, then sends them to Messenger.

Instagram DM automation pricing
DripDM Free is $0, Pro is $9, Growth is $14, and Business is $29. Those prices are per month and do not rise with your contact count.
AI credits
Growth includes 1,000 AI credits a month. Business includes 2,500. The free plan and Pro include none. A test draft reserves 1 AI credit; provider failures may still consume it.

Growth is $14 a month and includes 1,000 AI credits plus every Pro feature. Business is $29 and includes 2,500 credits.
