ManyChat pricing, without the maze
ManyChat’s price is a plan plus a monthly active-contact count, and the yearly price is not the monthly price. Here are the numbers from their own pages, then the flat alternative.

The five plans
ManyChat’s help article, updated 27 August 2026, lists Free, Essential, Pro, Business, and Advanced. These are the prices introduced for new accounts on 2 March 2026. The pricing page tells you to read the purchase page, because the final number depends on billing country and tax.
Free is $0 and includes up to 25 active contacts. No card. Essential is the early paid step: up to 250 active contacts, and $14 a month if you pay yearly ($168 billed annually). The pricing page also has a monthly toggle. Use that toggle for the month-to-month Essential price. This guide does not guess it.
Pro is the plan people mean
The Pro help article lists $39 a month, or $29 a month when you pay yearly. Yearly is $348 up front. The plan includes 2,500 active contacts. Monthly overage is $0.05 a contact. Annual overage is $0.038 a contact.
So 3,000 active contacts on monthly Pro is $39 plus 500 times $0.05, which is $64 before tax. The same extra 500 people on the yearly rate add $19 that month, and the $348 is already paid. ManyChat says automations do not shut off when you pass the limit. You get warnings, and you can set a cap.
Business, Advanced, and the channel cap
Yearly billing on the pricing page shows Business at $69 a month ($828 a year) and Advanced at $139 a month ($1,668 a year). The help article puts Business at 7,500 active contacts and Advanced at 25,000. Overage per extra contact, from the pricing table, is $0.025 monthly and $0.018 yearly on Business, and $0.004 monthly and $0.0028 yearly on Advanced.
Channels are capped too. Free and Essential connect up to 2. Pro connects up to 3, and WhatsApp sits in that set. Business and Advanced connect all eligible channels: Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, WhatsApp, SMS, and email. You can swap which channels are connected. You cannot exceed the count.
The simpler option
If you need those extra channels, pay ManyChat and ignore the rest of this section. If you need Instagram comments, story replies, keyword DMs, and a Facebook Page, DripDM does not price any of that per contact.
Free is $0 for 1,000 DMs. Pro is $9 for 3 accounts. Growth is $14 and adds AI. Business is $29 for 10 accounts and 5 seats. A second Instagram account is not a second subscription. The side-by-side is on the ManyChat comparison, and the plan cards are on the pricing page.

How to turn ManyChat’s plan price and active-contact overage into one monthly number, then compare it with DripDM.
- 1
Open your real plan
In ManyChat go to Settings, then Billing, then Subscription. Accounts created before 2 March 2026 can still be on the old prices.
- 2
Write down the base price
Note whether you pay monthly or yearly. Yearly Essential is $14 a month ($168 up front). Pro is $29 a month yearly ($348) or $39 month to month.
- 3
Count active contacts
An active contact is one person you message in the billing month. Extra messages to the same person do not add another contact.
- 4
Add the overage
Past the included contacts, Pro charges $0.05 each on a monthly plan and $0.038 on an annual plan. The overage bills every month even if the plan is yearly.
- 5
Add seats, channels, and tax
Pro includes 3 users and 2 inbox seats. Extra inbox seats are $25. The price on the site excludes tax and can change with billing country.
- 6
Price the same job on DripDM
If the job is Instagram plus a Facebook Page, Pro is $9 for 3 accounts and Growth is $14 with AI. There is no contact overage.

Questions
From ManyChat’s pricing page and help docs: Free $0 (25 active contacts). Essential $14 a month billed yearly. Pro $39 a month or $29 billed yearly. Business $69 a month billed yearly. Advanced $139 a month billed yearly. Tax and country can change the checkout.
One person you interact with in the monthly billing period, through an automation, AI, a broadcast, or the inbox. More messages with that person still count as one contact.
No. ManyChat says active contacts are still counted every month on an annual plan, and overages still bill monthly.
ManyChat says you can request a refund if it has been under 30 days since the first plan purchase. A later upgrade does not restart that window. Ask their support. This page does not promise a refund.
You may be on the pre-March 2026 plan, a different billing country, or a monthly price while a review quoted the yearly one. The subscription screen is the number that matters.
When the work is Instagram and Facebook Pages and you do not want a contact overage. Pro is $9. It is not simpler if you need WhatsApp, TikTok, SMS, or email.
Yes. The pricing page says Essential or Pro can be tried for 14 days. The free plan does not need a card.
