Guide
Messenger automation for a Page.
People comment on the Page or open Messenger. DripDM replies with the rule you saved. Personal profiles are out of scope.

A clean setup
Turn off a second tool that also answers the same keyword. Two apps on one thread cause owner errors. Subcode 2534037 means this app does not own the thread.
A Page comment rule uses the same Watch choices as Instagram. Choose Next post or Reel, turn the rule on, and publish. Open Automations to attach the rule and read the notice.
Window
Messenger replies follow Meta’s messaging window. An ice breaker works because the person taps it. It is not a cold message.
Build a Page conversation with an early useful answer
The strongest starting point is a request your team already answers: opening hours, a service area, a menu, or the next booking step. Choose a Page comment, Messenger keyword, or ice-breaker question as the entry route, then prepare the corresponding answer. These routes need separate tests because they do not all establish the same conversation state. Personal profiles and Groups are outside the described product, and a Page follower list is not an unrestricted private broadcast list.
A workflow to try
Create one Page campaign and test it end to end. If the post offers an event brochure, put the brochure destination and a clear explanation in the initial private reply. If the person asks a follow-up question, answer while their standard window is active. Ask for contact information only when the purpose is clear. On Business, verify a Sheets destination separately before relying on it. A captured lead, a tracked click, and a completed event booking are different outcomes.
Checks before you change the setup
Inspect conversation ownership when a connected account still cannot send. A second messaging app can control a thread, and Meta documents subcode 2534037 for that invalid-owner action. Coordinate routing changes with the team rather than deleting integrations blindly. A window hold is a different problem and requires eligible inbound contact, not a new keyword. Save errors and timestamps, test fresh interactions, and avoid repeatedly retrying an already-used private reply.
Plan the human exception path alongside the rule
Decide who handles questions beyond the saved response and how they inspect the existing thread before replying. A private message may contain an event inquiry, personal information, or a request the automated text cannot responsibly settle. Keep the customer’s requested action visible and avoid promising that a support ticket, booking, or refund is completed merely because a destination was sent. Coordinate thread ownership with the other inbox if one is used. This path makes the automation useful for routine Page information without requiring the team to discover its limitations only after a guest expects a completed reservation or an unresolved support action.
Questions
Yes. The inbox includes the connected accounts on your plan.
Do not assume so. The first private reply does not itself open ordinary follow-up permission. Check whether the recipient responded and whether the window remains active at dispatch. A reminder is an optional workflow step, not an exemption from the Page’s messaging rules.
No. A workspace can display several connected accounts without merging their recipient identities or permission clocks. Inspect the relevant Page conversation and actual inbound interaction before scheduling a Messenger follow-up.
