Who should pick which
Pick DripDM if
- You run Instagram and maybe a Facebook Page, and you want the price to stay $9 or $14 when a Reel takes off.
- You connect more than one account. DripDM Pro is 3 accounts for $9. ManyChat bills each account on its own.
- A keyword, a link, and one nudge are the whole campaign.
Pick ManyChat if
- You need WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram, SMS, or email in the same subscription.
- The conversation has real branches, tags, and a team inbox with routing.
- You already run ManyChat and the history, opt-ins, and flows are the asset. DripDM will not import them.
The bill is the whole argument
ManyChat’s new prices started for accounts created on or after 2 March 2026. Older accounts can still be on the previous model until ManyChat moves them. The help article was updated 27 August 2026, and it says the live price can differ by country.
An active contact is one person you interact with during the billing month. Extra messages to that person do not add extra contacts. Go past the included number and you pay an overage, unless you set a cap.
A Reel that actually hits
Pro includes 2,500 active contacts. On the monthly plan the next contact is $0.05. Five hundred extra people are $25, on top of the $39. On the yearly rate those 500 are 500 times $0.038, which is $19, and the overage still bills every month.
DripDM Pro does not add a contact fee. The plan DM quota on paid plans is uncapped. Meta’s own messaging limits still apply. A viral Reel can fail for eligibility reasons. It does not fail because DripDM added $0.05 a person.
What you give up
ManyChat’s channel list is the reason people pay more. DripDM does not send WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram, SMS, or email. If those are the business, ManyChat wins. Use DripDM for the Instagram comment and the Page comment, and leave the other channels where they are.
The full contact ladder, with the yearly totals, is on the ManyChat pricing guide. Prices here are from manychat.com/pricing and ManyChat’s subscription help article.
Seats are a separate line
ManyChat’s Pro help article says the plan includes 3 users and 2 inbox seats, and an extra inbox seat is $25. That fee is not an active contact. Add it when you compare a team, not when you compare a solo creator.
DripDM Business is the plan with seats: 5 of them, inside the $29. Pro and Growth do not add teammates. If you are one person, ignore seats and compare the contact bill instead.
