Guide
A restriction comes from Meta.
If Instagram limits messaging, DripDM cannot lift that limit. The sends stop because the API refuses them.

What to do
Read the notice in the Instagram app. Follow Meta’s steps there. Pause rules until messaging works by hand again.
DripDM does not ask you to use a browser extension or to share the password. Those paths are outside the described DripDM connection model.
Distinguish an account notice from a failed recipient
One rejected DM is not enough to diagnose an account restriction. Check Instagram for an account or messaging notice, then compare several independent interactions. A person who blocks requests, a closed messaging window, and an expired app connection are narrower problems. If Instagram itself shows a restriction, follow the instructions in that notice. DripDM cannot appeal on your behalf through an automation rule or force the platform to accept messages it has refused.
A workflow to try
Pause active campaigns while you establish the scope. Save the notice text, date, and relevant send failures without sharing tokens or passwords. Review other connected tools, especially anything that logs in as the account or claims to message strangers. Remove unnecessary access through the relevant settings, but keep a record of what you changed. If manual messaging is also unavailable, fixing a keyword inside DripDM is unlikely to resolve the underlying account issue.
Checks before you change the setup
When the platform permits messaging again, restart with one ordinary inbound workflow rather than replaying a backlog of rejected sends. Verify a fresh interaction and read the result before restoring other rules. Do not assume there is a universal waiting period or a guaranteed safe daily volume. Meta controls its enforcement and recovery decisions, and official API use does not exempt a business from content, commerce, privacy, or anti-spam policies.
Resume with a documented observation, not a backlog blast
After Meta indicates messaging is available, choose a fresh ordinary customer request to verify the recovery. Record whether manual and API messaging both work, then restore one relevant rule. Review the old campaign before restarting it: the resource may have expired, recipients may no longer have an active window, and failed comments may not remain eligible. A pause should not turn into a promise that all missed activity can be replayed. Tell the team which workflows are restored and which still need investigation. Keep Meta enforcement evidence separate from DripDM support evidence so the status report does not claim one party fixed the other’s system.
Questions
No. Only Meta can change an Instagram enforcement. Email support if the DripDM connection itself is broken.
Do not use another account to evade an enforcement decision or recipient restriction. First resolve the notice through Instagram and confirm the allowed activity. If the issue is only a broken DripDM connection, support can help investigate that separately from Meta enforcement.
Not necessarily. Compare fresh interactions and read any notice in Instagram. Recipient availability, a closed conversation, and a disconnected app can affect delivery without proving account-wide enforcement. Preserve the error rather than guessing from one failed recipient.
