What you are not billed for
Contacts do not add a fee. A test draft reserves 1 AI credit; provider failures may still consume it. Fixed keyword replies on Free and Pro do not use AI.
Compare the unit of AI work before the price
An AI conversation, an AI reply, and a model credit can mean different things across products. DripDM includes AI reply capability in Growth at $14 per month and Business at $29. Its implementation meters preview drafts, topic matching, and generated replies through credit reservation. Do not copy a competitor claim that skips, previews, or every failed operation are free. For a useful comparison, ask what consumes allowance, what happens at exhaustion, and whether the price includes the connected accounts and other features you need.
A workflow to try
A shop receiving repeated requests for one product URL can keep that reply static, then enable AI only for varied shipping questions. Count the questions requiring model work and the preview tests used to prepare the launch. If a topic matcher is part of the rule, include that operation in the budget. Review the resulting balance after a small controlled test. This gives a better plan estimate than multiplying total followers by a guessed response rate or assuming every contact needs an AI conversation.
Checks before you change the setup
At the cap, the live service can return saved static text rather than generated text. Keep that static message useful and keep the fallback suitable for uncertainty. Business adds more credits, accounts, seats, and optional Sheets sync; it is not a promise of unlimited AI. Direct Meta Ads audience export is currently disabled. Before paying, inspect the checkout total and billing status. Currency conversion, taxes, and provider readiness are separate from the headline monthly product price.
Calculate a workload from supported questions
Use a sample of questions you actually receive and count which ones need different factual wording. Exclude exact-link requests that can stay static, but include the previews required to prepare the rule. Identify whether topic matching adds model work before generation. Keep the sample private and remove customer details when sharing an internal budget. After a limited launch, compare the balance movement with the expected workload and update the plan estimate. This approach ties cost to supported work rather than follower count, and it avoids treating the largest credit package as evidence that the business needs an autonomous chatbot for every conversation.
