Steps

You do not copy an API key. The assistant opens DripDM. You allow one workspace.

  • Add a remote MCP server in the assistant. The URL is https://api.dripdm.com/api/v1/mcp.
  • Claude Code uses: claude mcp add --transport http dripdm https://api.dripdm.com/api/v1/mcp
  • Claude on the desktop or claude.ai: open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste the same URL.
  • ChatGPT: create a custom MCP server, choose OAuth, and paste the same URL.
  • Cursor and other MCP clients use the same URL when they support remote HTTP with OAuth.
  • Sign in on the DripDM page that opens. The page names the app and the permissions. Choose read, manage, or send, then click Allow. The grant uses the workspace that is open.
  • Ask one read-only question first. Example: which post got the most link clicks this week.
  • Ask it to create or pause a rule only after that answer matches the dashboard.

What your assistant can do

Read tools list the workspace accounts, overview numbers, ranked posts, ranked automations, rules, conversations, and leads. Those calls do not change DripDM.

Manage tools create a comment-to-DM rule, edit it, pause it, or resume it. A run on older comments returns a preview and sends only after you confirm. That run is on Pro.

The send tool replies inside an open conversation. The first call shows the recipient and the text. The message goes out only when you confirm the same text.

The grant covers every connected account on the workspace you allowed. Name the account when the workspace has more than one. A connected Facebook Page is included. Connecting a Page is on Pro and above.

What it will never do

There is no tool that messages a person who has not written first. A comment rule can send one private reply after a comment. A direct reply works only while the messaging window is open. Instagram uses 24 hours. A Facebook Page uses 7 days.

  • A reply and an old-comment run show a preview. They send only when you confirm with the same preview id.
  • Creating, editing, or pausing a rule is saved when you ask. Those saves do not wait for a preview.
  • The assistant cannot open a workspace you did not allow. Each call checks that you are still a member.
  • Plan limits stay in force. Free overview data covers 30 days. Paid overview data covers 90 days. Ask-for-follow and old-comment runs stay on Pro.
  • DM, contact, lead, and account caps still apply. These calls do not spend AI credits.

Disconnect or change access

Open Dashboard, then AI apps. Disconnect removes that assistant. The next call from that app fails. Instagram, Facebook, and your other assistants stay connected.

Remove the connector in the assistant as well when you want the URL gone from that app. One user can keep 10 connections. Connecting the same app again replaces its existing grant.

Confirm the workspace before you click Allow

The server URL is the same for every assistant. The grant is not. Allow binds the assistant to the workspace that is open in that browser session, and to the permissions you tick. Read lists accounts, results, rules, conversations, and leads. Manage creates and edits comment-to-DM rules. Send replies in an open thread. Leave a permission off when that assistant does not need it. Switch workspace in DripDM before you connect when you manage more than one.

A workflow to try

Paste https://api.dripdm.com/api/v1/mcp into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor. Complete the sign-in page. Ask which post got the most link clicks this week, and compare the answer with Analytics. Then ask for a comment rule on the latest post, with the keyword and the link you already use. Open the rule in Automations and read the keyword, the DM, and whether it is live. A paused save uses publish false. The default save is live.

Checks before you change the setup

A reply preview names the person and the text and sends nothing. Send only after you confirm that same text. An old-comment run does the same, and it stays on Pro. Creating or pausing a rule does not show that preview. It writes the rule when you ask. Disconnect from Dashboard, then AI apps, when a test grant is finished. The Instagram connection stays. A password change or a lost membership ends the grant on the next call. These calls do not spend AI credits, and they do not turn AI replies on.

Record which app received which grant

Write down the assistant name, the machine, the workspace, and the permissions you allowed. One user can keep 10 live connections. The same app on the same workspace replaces its old grant instead of taking a second slot. Disconnect a grant you no longer use before you add an eleventh app. Access lasts 30 days and refreshes. A connection with no use for 180 days ends. Each connection allows 60 reads and 10 writes per minute. A refused write returns the reason to the assistant. It does not open another workspace or skip a plan limit.

Questions

Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor work when the app supports a remote MCP server with OAuth. Other MCP clients use the same URL. DripDM does not ship a separate plugin for each app.
