Build in a controlled sequence
Connect an account you manage, select a supported trigger, write the message, and save a draft. Test from a second profile before enabling the rule. A next-post comment rule starts its wait only when the rule is on. Publish after that, then open Automations. The notice names the post. Verify the received text, destination, captured contact fields, and event status. Keep a record of what you tested so a later edit has a clear baseline.
Treat the test as a recipient experience
The setup is not complete when a rule saves. Read the public caption and private reply together. Check that the keyword is easy to type, the offer matches the link, and the recipient knows what happens next. If a connection or permission fails, fix that first instead of multiplying rules.
Guides
Connect your agent
Ask your AI about your results and have it set up automations.
Set up comment to DM
Connect Instagram, create a comment rule, and put the same keyword in the caption.
Automate Instagram DMs
Choose one trigger. A comment, a story, or a keyword DM. Write one message. Turn it on.
Capture leads from Instagram
The first DM asks for the email. The person’s reply is stored when it contains one. The next message can send the link.
Facebook comment to Messenger
Pro or above, a connected Page, and a keyword rule on that Page.
Auto-reply to Instagram DMs with AI
Growth or Business. A goal, instructions, a knowledge note, a length cap, and a fallback line.
Auto-reply to Instagram comments with AI
Point a comment rule at AI when the comment is a question. Emoji-only text is skipped so you do not spend a credit on it.
Questions
It helps you check the actual recipient path rather than only the builder preview. Eligible activity and platform restrictions still determine delivery.
Create and review a draft first. Use the relevant setup guide to stage an eligible real event; a preview alone does not prove Meta delivery.
Check delivery and link engagement, then change one part at a time. Stop or revise a rule if recipients receive unexpected messages.
