How to
AI on comments that ask something.
Point a comment rule at AI when the comment is a question. Emoji-only text is skipped so you do not spend a credit on it.

Steps
Keep a fixed public reply for the keyword offer. Use AI for the longer questions.
A connected assistant can read results and create a fixed comment rule. AI replies stay on this page. The setup is on /how-to/connect-your-agent.
- Create a comment rule on Growth.
- Enable AI and add the knowledge note.
- Leave emoji and “nice!” comments on a fixed reply or on no AI.
- Read the first threads in the inbox and correct the note.
Distinguish a keyword offer from a variable question
A comment saying GUIDE can receive your saved guide text without model work. A question about sizing or shipping may benefit from AI when your note contains the answer. Configure the specific comment rule rather than claiming a separate account-wide moderation engine. Noise detection skips model generation for emoji-only or repeated-character text, but the static keyword response can still send. That distinction prevents an inaccurate promise that every skipped AI input produces silence.
A workflow to try
Start with one post and a narrow question set. Keep the public acknowledgment concise and deliver the detailed private answer where the configured rule supports it. Test a real question, the exact resource keyword, emoji-only text, and an unclear request from independent accounts. Read both the public and private result. Put product facts and limitations into the note and keep static and fallback text useful. Do not copy a competitor delay, classifier, or public-comment length rule unless it is implemented in DripDM.
Checks before you change the setup
Watch overlapping rules, comment eligibility, and credits separately. A generated reply does not grant an extra private response to the same comment. The recipient must respond before ordinary follow-up messaging becomes eligible. If the first private message fails, inspect format and the send result before blaming AI. If the text is wrong, update the note or instructions and rerun a preview. Avoid promising that AI identifies every spam, complaint, or tag-a-friend comment; the implemented noise checks are narrower.
Review the public promise with the private answer
A short public acknowledgment can be misleading if it announces successful delivery before the private request is accepted. Read both texts as one exchange and make their wording supportable by the configured outcome. Test substantive questions separately from exact keywords and noise, preserving which path returned static versus generated text. If your campaign needs public moderation or delayed account-wide commenting, do not infer those features from this rule. Keep the actual DripDM scope visible. The first AI comment experiment should prove a bounded reply is useful, not claim the business has handed every public conversation to an autonomous community manager.
Questions
No. Emoji-only text, punctuation, and long repeated characters are treated as noise.
Not necessarily. In the implemented reply service, noise can return the saved static template. Whether that text sends depends on the matching rule and normal eligibility. Test your exact configuration rather than assuming model skips, automation skips, and failed sends are the same outcome.
No. Generated wording follows the existing rule and platform send path. The same comment does not gain an extra private reply because generation is enabled, and ordinary follow-ups still require the recipient’s response.
