What the free plan includes
Free is a real plan. It is 1 account, 1,000 DMs a month, 100 contacts, and 10 leads.

Do this
Keep the change small enough to test from a second account the same day.
- Comment, story, and keyword rules are included. Next post, Reel, and next story are included.
- Click tracking and a bio page are included.
- The follow gate, Pages, and AI are not included.
Use Free to validate the job before adding steps
Free is useful for a focused Instagram campaign with a maintained keyword message and a destination. The monthly DM allowance is only one constraint: contacts and captured leads have their own limits, and the plan connects one account. Next post, Reel, and next story are included. Keep those counters visible in your launch checklist. Core replies, link tracking, and a bio page can show whether the requested handoff works without a follow gate, reminder, AI response, or Facebook Page connection.
A workflow to try
Start with a single public resource invitation. Test the word, opening private message, request folder, and URL from an independent account. Then compare the public invitation with actual conversations and taps. If collecting an email is central to the offer, plan around the 10-lead allowance rather than assuming 1,000 DMs means 1,000 stored leads. Leave optional paid steps out of this baseline so you can judge the simpler journey on its own merits.
Checks before you change the setup
Upgrade for a documented feature or cap, not because an error sounds mysterious. Pro adds Page workflows and other paid extras; Growth adds AI credits; Business adds team and external-data features. None creates permission to message a person outside platform rules. A closed window, overlapping app, recipient restriction, or incorrect keyword needs diagnosis instead. Also separate the hosted bio page from the messaging rule: changing one does not automatically rewrite the other’s offer.
Choose a campaign that demonstrates the included core
A stable resource keyword with a clear destination can test comment replies, private delivery, and link use without requiring AI or a reminder. A bio page can provide a public alternative while remaining a separate surface to maintain. Keep the account, contact, lead, and message allowances visible in the campaign record. If a paid feature becomes necessary, explain why it changes the customer journey before adding it. This avoids attributing a weak offer to the plan tier or purchasing extras before anyone has verified the simplest requested handoff. Free is most informative when used to test a real core job.
Questions

The limits are independent. A low-volume campaign can still use its captured-lead allowance. Review the displayed state and choose a paid plan only if the larger allowance or required feature solves that specific constraint. Do not treat unused DM capacity as extra lead-storage permission.
No. A paid allowance does not create inbound contact or reopen the messaging window. Check eligibility, recipient availability, and the actual error before treating the subscription as the cause of a failed send.
