Following divided by followers.

The ratio describes the account shape. It does not score content.

Following ÷ followers

0.08

A number under 1 means you follow fewer accounts than follow you. The ratio does not measure content quality.

How to read the result

A number under 1 means the account follows fewer people than follow it.

The tool runs in your browser. It does not send the numbers to DripDM.

Read the direction of the ratio carefully

Enter the account’s following count and follower count. This widget calculates following divided by followers, not followers divided by following. A result below one means the account follows fewer accounts than follow it. Other tools may reverse the ratio, so a number cannot be compared without checking its direction. The output describes account shape only; it does not measure reach, trustworthiness, authenticity, content quality, or whether a business can message its audience.

Using the inputs and result

Take both counts from the same observation time and label the ratio as following ÷ followers in your notes. Use it as a descriptive account snapshot alongside the actual campaign question. If you are evaluating a collaboration, review content fit and relevant engagement separately rather than accepting or rejecting someone on this ratio alone. For a DripDM campaign, an eligible inbound event matters more than this account shape, and a follower relationship does not create permission for cold DMs.

Limits and result checks

When followers are zero, the division has no meaningful interpretation even if the widget uses a numerical fallback. Check for swapped inputs if a result seems inverted. A rounded value can hide small changes, so preserve the underlying counts when comparing periods. Do not use follow/unfollow tactics to manipulate the ratio or treat a target ratio as a growth strategy. The tool does not access Instagram, identify fake followers, or recommend an enforcement-safe activity quota; it only computes the relationship between the values you provide.

Use snapshots for description, not account manipulation

When comparing periods, keep the two underlying counts and observation times rather than only rounded ratios. An apparent movement can reflect followers, following, or both. Read the account’s purpose before judging the shape: community accounts and public brands can follow people differently. Do not manipulate the number through automated follow or unfollow tactics. For messaging strategy, focus on a useful invitation and eligible customer action; the ratio cannot reveal whether someone wants a resource, can receive a private reply, or has opened a conversation.
